Phoenix: In a celebration of cultural diversity, spirituality, and community harmony, the Kerala Hindus of Arizona (KHA), a Arizona based non-profit charitable organization is set to host the much-anticipated Attukal Pongala Festival on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at the Maha Ganapathi Temple of Arizona. This vibrant event promises a unique blend of tradition, devotion, and unity, bringing together people from all walks of life. Fire lit in pandara aduppu (pongala hearth) at 09:30 AM and nivedyam of pongala at 12:15pm followed by Maha Aarati.

Originating from the rich cultural tapestry of Kerala, India, Attukal Pongala is a festival dedicated to the goddess Attukal Bhagavathy. The event is said to be one of the largest gatherings of women in the world where we see women get together to celebrate the Goddess in the Attukal Bhagavathy temple.

The KHA is proud to bring this unique celebration to Arizona, offering a glimpse into the spiritual traditions that transcend geographical boundaries.
Witness the breathtaking Attukal Pongala ritual, where devotees gather to prepare the sacred Pongala offering. The temple grounds will be adorned with vibrant colors and fragrant aromas as participants engage in this symbolic act of devotion.
